Birchwood Park Puts Birchwood and Warrington on the Map at Celebrate Cheshire

For over a decade, MEPC Birchwood Park has invested in the local economy and championed the benefits of Birchwood and Warrington as a location for business.

This month, MEPC Birchwood Park is to sponsor a two-day event to promote Cheshire’s business credentials, at which it will fly the flag for the town.

As part of its sponsorship of Celebrate Cheshire, MEPC Birchwood Park has invested in a 30m hoarding at the event’s Chester Racecourse venue; this banner will promote the whole of Birchwood as the leading business destination in Cheshire.

MEPC Birchwood Park is the only Birchwood -based organisation among the sponsors of the not-for-profit Celebrate Cheshire initiative, which takes place on 16th and 17th September.

Since its acquisition of the park from UKAEA in 1998, MEPC has invested over £50M into Birchwood Park’s infrastructure and facilities.

Last month it announced the re-development of a £1.2 million conference and meetings venue, transforming the popular Centre at MEPC Birchwood Park to create a facility to rival anything else available in the region, putting Birchwood and Warrington firmly on not only the regional but also the national conference and meetings industry map.

Said MEPC Birchwood Park’s MD, Jonathan Walsh: “Birchwood is a great location for business and this is a great opportunity to show case everything that is great about Birchwood to the wider region.”

Celebrate Cheshire will highlight the “Cheshire Factors” which have contributed to the sub-region’s success as the strongest economy – worth more than £22bn – in the North West, and will set out Cheshire’s proposition for economic investment. It will mark one of the first key projects backed by Cheshire and Warrington’s new Local Enterprise Partnership.
